The most common type of internet connection at Uconn is the wired connection. You will use this connection to connect your computer to the internet in your dorm room and a variety of other places on campus. Uconn is also in the process of implementing wireless connections for laptops and PDA’s. The Uconn wireless network is being actively installed in many locations across campus, but is not yet operational in most areas.
To configure your computer to connect to a wired or wireless network, follow the steps below. If you would like to connect to a wireless hotspot on campus, there are additional steps you must follow (see Connecting to the Wireless Network at Uconn).
