The NetReg process allows students to be able to connect to the UConn network. In order to Netreg, a student must go through a three step process. All students must do this in order to use the wired internet.

What To Do Before You NetReg

1. Set strong passwords on all accounts
2. Download or update working antivirus
3. Complete all necessary Windows Updates (SP2 especially)

 

How to NetReg

1. Optional - Download and install the Uconn Root Certificate.
2. Find the student's NetID by accessing netid.uconn.edu
3. The third step on the page is the actual registration step, where the NetID and password must be supplied. Make sure to check the box (therefore agreeing to network policies) before clicking Register Me.
4. After filling out the information and clicking Register Me, restart your computer.
