When desiring a wireless network in a residence hall students can set up their own device. In order to facilitate support of these devices we encourage and recommend students use the following models. We cannot guarantee complete support for these devices but will be able to better troubleshoot as needed if the models listed below are used.

Installation and Configuration Instructions
This adapter is only capable of being installed into Power Mac G5, Power Mac G4 (FW 800/12-inch/12-inch DVI/12-inch FW 800), iMac, iBook G4, and eMac (ATI Graphics/USB 2.0) computers. Physical installation instructions can be found online for the individual models listed above. Otherwise, follow the instructions provided in the manual accompanying the device. However, if you run into any difficulties we will attempt to assist you in following the instructions in the manual.
This adapter will only allow your computer to access a wireless network, and will not create one for you to connect to. You will still need a wireless router in order to set up a wireless network.
ResNet does not offer hardware support and cannot physically install your network device, however we will offer as much phone support as we can during the installation process.
