The following is a set of instructions for installing and updating Symantec Antivirus, which is the recommended program.
To install on Windows machines:
- Click Run or double-click the file to begin installation. If you receive an Open File - Security Warning popup, click Run.
- Click install to begin the installation wizard.
- Agree to the license agreement and click next.
- Choose Client Install and click next.
- Choose complete and click next.
- Choose unmanaged and click next.
- Leave the default Auto Protect and Run LiveUpdate boxes checked. Click next.
- Choose install to begin the installation.
- You will see the progress of the installation.
- When it has completed, click Finish.
To update on Windows machines:
- After the successful installation, all you need to do is open the program and click the LiveUpdate button whenever you want to update the definition files
