Mansfield & Northwood Apartments

Northwood and Mansfield apartments receive cable and internet connections via Charter, through a contract with the university. Cable modems should be plugged directly into the wall using a coaxial cable. Only a single connection is provided by the modem; students must buy a router to extend the network, just like a home broadband connection.

All troubleshooting should begin with connecting directly to the modem itself, in order to isolate any other issues. If problems persist, students should contact Charter directly at (800) 314-7195. In addition to their apartment number, they will need the modem # and MAC address, located on the bottom of the device.
