SelfReg

SelfReg is the process by which students register devices without browsers, such as game consoles and routers. A student can have up to five devices, including their computer, registered at one time. In order to register a device, go to http://netreg.uconn.edu and click on the “SelfReg” option at the top of the page. You will be prompted for your NetID and password. Enter the 12-digit MAC address of the device, making sure to insert colons between every two digits, along with the description, and then click “Register.”

If a device has been registered with the wrong MAC address, please contact the HuskyTech Call Center to have the device manually unregistered.

Routers

First, check the bottom of the router itself. Only if there is a number labeled “WAN Address” should you register the router using this address. Otherwise, you will have to log in to the router to determine its MAC address. Refer to our routers page for further information.
