Splitters

Many of the rooms currently being used as doubles have only one network jack, which requires that this connection be split. This will not affect the performance of the network as these data jacks are double punched and made specifically to have a splitter used with them.
Though some rooms will already have a splitter installed in their rooms, some students will have to buy one. Only UConn Co-op splitters will work on the network. ($7.95 – Dec 08) SplitterThe following residence halls may need a splitter:

  • McMahon
  • East
  • North
  • West
  • Alumni
  • Hale / Ellsworth
