VPN & ProxyVPN and proxy access are used to make your computer appear as though it is on the UConn network from off-campus, in order to use library resources or download antivirus software. Both can be done at any time as long as you have a valid NetID. We recommend you use the VPN instead of the proxy server, as it is much newer and easier to use, but proxy access is still available. VPN access and troubleshooting are available at http://security.uconn.edu/guides/vpn.html. You will need to download a small program in order to install and connect using the VPN. The proxy address is http://proxy.uconn.edu:3000/proxy.pac. For further help with configuring the proxy server in individual browsers, go to http://helpdesk.uconn.edu/trouble/proxy/autoprox.html. |
